Love and Hate

Wars and rumors of renewed wars have brought two people to the brink, Two opposing commanders forced into a marriage to seal a treaty which, unbeknownst to them, neither side is prepared to keep.

Neither the Subanian General Aster nor the Harmonish Captain, Symon of Steel is happy about the way things are, and having been chosen, and coerced into a marriage to unite two warring factions does not suit either of them. For Aster, drugging her into submission was the only way Aster would marry Symon, and it galled her to feel the aphrodisiacs take hold of her.

Subanian soldiers overran his village, killed his wife and their two small children, their relatives, and friends, his whole village. Symon knew this marriage of jointure to a hated enemy, and made in the fires of his nightmares, was not to his liking or his desire. As they are forced together, however, there are tensions that only their combined forces can truly conquer.

Their island is at stake, and with treachery and lies coming from both sides, the pair suddenly find themselves forced into fighting together for the good of both people.
